I’m Dave

I am an image maker from Saint Louis, Missouri. I work in 2d illustration, scale sculpture illustration, and photography. I graduated from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art at Washington University with a B.F.A. in Communication Design focusing on Illustration in 2012. In my career, I have worked as an Illustrator, Designer, Front-End Developer, Application Developer, and a Freelancer. I am currently pursuing a M.F.A in Illustration and Visual Communication from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art at Washington University.  I have worked creatively with publications, marketing firms, and design houses. In 2024, my work was chosen for American Illustration 43.

I grew up in Maplewood, Missouri just outside of the city of Saint Louis. A piece of my heart will always live there. I currently live in Wildwood, Missouri with my wife and two very creative little girls. We love to watch the deer in our back yard, sing, dance, play music, make art, watch Bluey, and play board games. In my free time I like to learn about history, collect hobbies, and pretend to be intense in self portraits.
